• Payment Information: Purchases (such as digital credit packs) are handled directly by our Merchant of Record and payment processors. We do not collect or store your full credit card number or bank details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and optimize the Service, including location analysis and matching.
• Process transactions and send related administrative information, such as confirmations and receipts.

Prelo relies on advanced Artificial Intelligence models (such as those provided by OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or xAI) to generate personalized location insights and comparisons based on your User Profile metadata and saved locations.

• We only share the necessary data prompts (e.g., location parameters, summarized preferences) required to generate the specific insights you request. This prompt information is anonymous and does not include Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name or email address.
• Our agreements with these AI providers stipulate that your data sent via API is not used to train their foundational public models.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service Providers: Third-party vendors that provide services on our behalf (e.g., hosting via Vercel, database and authentication via Firebase, payment processing via our Merchant of Record, and mapping services).
• Legal Compliance: When required by law, subpoena, or other legal processes, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Prelo, our users, or others.

5. Collaboration Features

If you use collaboration features (e.g., inviting an account member or viewing shared itineraries), your profile name, email, and contributions (notes, saved locations, ratings) within that shared account may be visible to the other collaborators you authorized.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. We implement industry-standard security measures, including data encryption in transit and at rest (via our cloud providers), to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
